Welcome to Christy Bishop Fine art gallery

Based in St. Augustine, Florida, Christy Bishop is a painter and designer who draws on coastal and surfing culture for her art inspiration. Having gained a love for marine environments spanning Hawaii, the Caribbean, and Florida, Christy creates vibrant works infusing the spirit of those settings. Christy’s energetic canvases portray the full diversity of the natural world and utilizes unique textures and designs.   

She holds degrees in Business Management, Fine Arts, and Design Technology with an emphasis in interior design. Her interests extend to photography and landscape architecture. Christy’s past experiences include two years designing graphic interfaces and providing computer aided design services.  

Christy Bishop’s works have garnered her recognition in a community in which she has made her home for the past four years. In 2017, she earned recognition as one of St. Augustine’s “Best Local Artists” featured in The Record, the local St. Augustine newspaper.    

Although, Christy Bishop primarily works in acrylic and oils, she often incorporates other mediums to expand the possibilities of each canvas. Through her vivid use of color and brushstroke, she aspires to evoke a new perception and appreciation of nature.
